SHEEP DOG NOTES.
WAITAKI COLLIE DOG CLUB. At a special meeting of the Waitaki Collie Dog Club, which was well attended by members, it was decided that the club should affiliate with the Canterbury Collie Dog Association. Mr A. N. Hayes occupied the chair, and the meeting was at tended bv Messrs John Anderson. “ Bog Boy” (president), and W. Aubrey. Georgetown (vice-president), of the Otago Association. Messrs Anderson and Aubi-ey addressed the meeting, placing information on the subject before the meeting, and Air J. Trotter submitted a report of the meeting of collie dog enthusiasts held in Dun edin in June. After discussion, a large majority decided in favour qf affiliation, Mr J. Trotter being appointed delegate, with the recommendation that ho should support the formation of a South Island Collie Dog Championship Association. Messrs Anderson and Aubrey were thanked for attending the meeting and placing information before members. A motion qf condolence was passed with the relatives of the late Air James ■Menzies, who had been one of the founders
of the club over 50 years ago and who had taken a keen interest in the club rigat up to the time of his death.
