OPERATION PERFORMED. LONDON, July 29. A bulletin which was issued states that the operation was performed this morning and the cause of the hmmaturia was completely removed. Considering the severity of the operation, the condition of the patient is thus far satisfactory. The whole family waited in an adjoining room during the operation. ROYAL SYMPATHY EXPRESSED. RUGBY, July 30. The following bulletin was issued this morning: “Mr Lloyd George passed a restful night and his strength is well maintained. His condition so far continues t» be satisfactory.” Messages of sympathy from the King, the Queen and the Prince of Wales have been received at Mr Lloyd George’s house. Since the serious nature of his illness became known several inquiries have been made frprn the royal yacht at Cowes. Before undergoing the operation Air Lloyd George dictated to his daughter a message to the Liberal summer school, which will be opened at Cambridge today and at which she will take his place. It was officially stated to-night that he had a fairly comfortable day and slept at intervals. HOPES OF PROGRESS. RUGBY, July 31. The doctors in attendance oh Air Lloyd George are said to be entirely pleased with his condition, and their hopes of steady progress are high. He passed a fair night.
