Bossad (Huntly). THE FIRST PRIZE WINNER. GISBORNE, August 1. The winner of the first prize in the Windfall Art Union, Mr J. J. Box, is a storekeeper at Waipaoa, 13 miles from Gisborne. Mr Box is 61 years of age, and is a married man with four children. He was formerly employed in stores on the east coast, and then came to Gisborne as a representative of Messrs Heather, Robcrton, Auckland merchants. He was later licensee of the Waerengaokuri Hotel. The ticket was purchased from a street seller in Gisborne the day preceding the closing of the art union.
