The seven-roomed homestead owned and occupied by Mr Edgar Knight in Patutahi was completely destroyed by fira last week. The whole of the contents was lost, but the outbuildings escaped the flames. The house was insured for £750, and the contents for £250, with tha New Zealand Office.
