PREFERENCE PROPOSALS.
SUGGESTIONS UNDER CONSIDERATION. LONDON, October 10.
The prominence devoted by the press to the lack of British response to the dominion delegates’ preference suggestions, coupled with the publication of a story that Mr Baldwin consulted Mr Bennett before issuing his statement, probably influenced the British spokesman’s assurance to-night that none of the suggestions had been turned down, and ’’.at the conference was merely continuing consideration of the question of how preference ..orked, and whether the United Kingdom had taken advantage of it as fully as it could.
