“1 can’t read the signature,” remarked the secretary of the Waikato Agricultural and Pastoral Association (Mr J. Baxter), at a meeting of the executive of that body the other day, after pausing long and peering intently at the scrawl affixed to a letter he had just read (says the Waikato Times). Careless caligraphy of this nature is only too common amongst officials accustomed to sign .many documents.. It is a fault that is extremely irritating to the persons who receive the documentsand who are unacquainted with the writer, and may lead to endless confusion and annoyance.
