“Things may be bad in New Zealand, but they are 100 per cent, worse in Australia. Pessimism has done more harm to that country than is generally realised. A club known as the' Optimists has been formed in Sydney, composed of business men, who meet every Wednesday for the purpose of broadcasting talks advocating how to attain a bright future for the Commonwealth. Unfortunately, these men are in the minority, but it was a real pleasure to hear them speaking,” said a member of the J. C. Williamson touring company to a Wanganui Chronicle representative recently.
