FEDERATION OF CLUBS

WELLINGTON, April 25.

A gathering of interest to many ha§ just come to a close at Plimmerton, where between 50 and 60 young women, representing the Young Women’s Christ tian Association in all parts of New Zealand, met with the object of bring-: ing about a federation of clubs through: out the Dominion. The delegate!? assembled on Good Friday and were welcomed by the conference hostess, Mrs 11. D. Bennett, of Wellington, who also introduced Yuki Kimura San, Tokio, the guest of honour. Miss Ethel Law, national general secretary, and Miss Leila Bridgman, national girls’ work secretary, were also present, and representatives from New Plymouth, Auckland, Palmerston North, Wellington, Christchurch, Timaru and Dunedin. The conference concluded with the holding of the first Dominion Assembly service of the federation, in which members pledged their loyalty to its friendship.
