No. 6. Leaving the wood behind them, the Chums came in sight of the sea. The shore was strewn with immense rocks. They went down to the water’s edge, and gazed along the sand. There seemed to be absolutely no one in sight, but Golly spitted something on the rocks. They ran towards it, and found, sitting and looking very lonely', a sailor man, wearing only a shirt and trousers, which were roiled up to the knees, leaving the lower part of his legs bare. “ I knoyv who this is,” Teddy whispered, as the sailor sat watching them. “ See if I’m right.” They climbed up the rocks, and seated themselves by the stranger. “ Are you Sinbad the Sailor?” asked Teddy. “Yes,” he replied, “but I'm oit of work at present. You see, no child in all the world is reading about me at the moment, and I’ve nothing to do. If you see me disappear you’ll know that someone has commenced to read the tale of ‘ Sinbad the Sailor.’ ” “ Tell us all about your adventires,” urged Golly. “ All right,” answered Sinbad,“you know, I haven’t been a sailor all my life. I used to work in a baker’s shop, but ” Suddenly Sinbad shot straight up into the air. and disappeared. “ I suppose somebody’s reading about him.” Gollj’ said, ** what & pity, his story was going to be so interesting!” (To be Continued.)
