The cargo service between Pacific coast ports and New Zealand conducted by vessels of the Oceanic and Oriental Navigation Company, will be run with more regularity early next year. Advice has been received that the Golden Coast, which is scheduled to leave Los Angeles on March 1, will inaugurate the new monthly service between the Pacific coast and Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin.
Mr R. A. Anderson, a prominent citizen of Invercargill, has presented to the town the full equipment for a children's playground.
