COMMANDER BYRD’S EXPEDITION. BLIZZARD STOPS WORK. (Special to the Press Association from the Byrd Expedition.) By Russell Owf.n. BAY OF WHALES, September 25. All work has been stopped by the blizzard. It is now 41 below zero, while last night it was 50. The men on house duty have difficulty in keeping the windows clear of snow, the windows being at the bottom of deep holes in the drift over the houses. It is uncertain how long the blizzard will last. SIR HUBERT WILKINS. DEPARTURE FROM NEW YORK. NEW YORK, September 25. Sir Hubert Wilkins will sail on Satur* day. For his expedition into the Antarctic he has chosen Parker Cramer (who flew to Greenland) and Al Cheseman (of Winnipeg) as pilots,, and Orvil Porter as mechanician. September 28. Sir Hubert Wilkins, two aviators, and an engineer sailed for Montevideo en route to Deception Island to begin • second trip to the Antarctic.
