TAHUNA PARK PROPOSALS. The president, in submitting a statement dealing with the negotiations now being carried on between the Dunedin Manufacturers’ Association and the so-

The. chairman read lengthy reports from individual representatives of each body which he considered would satisfy the committee that they had many difficulties to overcome. Mr George Black supported the remarks of the chairman, and went fully into the whole position showing the actual results so far as the negotiations had proceeded with the manufacturers. Mr Turner stated that the reports read and the information supplied by the president and Mr Black should satisfy members that the proposals had received very careful consideration by the special committee appointed to deal with these matters and. carry out these negotiations, and he considered that they were entitled to ‘the thanks of the whole committee. After several members had expressed their opinions, and the chairman had answered several questions, it was decided that the small sub-committee appointed be asked to continue negotiations and report to the General Committee.
