LICENSING COMMITTEES.

At noon on Wednesday nominations for the three licensing committees (Dunedin. Dunedin South, and Chalmers) closed with the returning officers, but the nominations were only sufficient to fill the vacancies. Accordingly, the following committees have been declared elected: — DUNEDIN.

Nominations for the Central Otago Licensing Committee closed here on Wednesday with no fewer than 13 candidates for the five seats on the committee, in--1 eluding the five sitting members. Thomas, Ranfurly,' builder; Morgan, Edward, St. Bathans, sheep, farmer; Smith, Alexander. Ranfurly, motor mechanic; Stevens, Harold Edgar, Clyde, journalist. The five first-named are the members of the sitting committee.
