A visitor to the Wellington trots had a piece of unsolicited fortune (reports the Dominion). In the seventh race he invested a modest sum on Epigram, which was No. 4 on the card. The race resulted in a dead heat between Black Admiral (No. 2) and Logan Park (No. 6). The disappointed punter was about to destroy his ticket when he was amazed to find that it was inscribed with the number 2. He collected, grateful indeed that he had not discovered the error at the time of receiving the ticket.
