There found a p°or little dog being bullied and teased by a lot of cowardly boys, who had tied an empty tin-can to the poor,doggie s tail and then chased him around. , " For shame!” yelled Teddy indignantly, " we’ll show ’em!” and tho brave little bcout dashed at them with his pole, scattering them right and left. ° cowards they were, the boys fled in all directions. Meanwhile Golly was removing the tin-can from the dog’s tail. The latter was very pleased to be rescued, and tried to show his gratitude by wagging his tail.- “ We’ll let ’em see that R.5.P.C.A.D.,” said Teddy. - ° What does that mean?” inquired Golly. “ Don’t you know?” replied Teddy. "Why, ‘ Real Scouts Protect Cats and Dogs'. In the joy of freedom the dog romped round and round them, barking excitedly. “ I don’t think those wicked boys will try their cruel tricks again,”said Golly, “ especially if they think we are anywhere near!” (To be Continued.)
