BROAD BAY' BOATING CLUB. The annual meeting of the Broad Bay Boating Club was held on Wednesday evening. The commodore (Mr W. O. Martin) presided over a good attendance of members. Several representatives of other boating clubs also attended. The report and balance sheet were adopted. The following office-bearers were elected for the ensuing year:—Commodore, Mr W. O. Martin; vice-commodore, Mr J. Hudson; rear-commodore, Dr A. J. Cottrell; secretary, Mr S. J. Lawrence; treasurer, Mr I. Penrose; club captain, Mr I. Brown; delegates to Otago Yacht and Motor Boat Association, Messrs W. O. Martin and T. Brooks; committee—Messrs T. Brooks, A. Begg, F. Goodwin, H. F. Nees, jun., J. Ham, L. Clearwater, R. Malthus, I. Brown, S. Banwell, P. Drummond. P. Treacj- and Dr N. C. Speight; auditor, Mr N. Oliphant. ROWING ASSOCIATION. ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting’of the Otago Rowing Association was held on Wednesday evening. The president (Mr E. V. Fairbairn) occupied the chair. The annual report was adopted. The election of office-bearers resulted as follows:—President, Mr E. V. Fairbairn; vice-president, Mr P. J. Priest; secretary and treasurer, Mr S. G. Styche; auditors, Messrs James Brown and Co.; Emergency Committee—the president, Messrs M. H. Priest, J. W. Smeaton and the secretary; Selection Committee—Messrs J. M‘Guire, W. J. Wilson and M. H- Priest. It was decided to make a donation of £2 2s towards the expenses of the Union Club, of Wanganui, which will represent New Zealand at the Australian Rowing Regatta. The North End Club was granted the custody of one of the eight-oar boats for the coming season. THE HENLEY REGATTA. WANGANUI, September 25. It has definitely been decided that the Uni"n crew, holders of the New Zealand championship, will leave for Australia on October 12 for the purpose of representing New Zealand at the Henley regatta on October 27. The crew is in fine fettle, and with Clarrie Healey as stroke it is believed it will give a good account of itself. It is hoped that A. K. Jackson (Dominion champion sculler) will be able to make the trip also, but if funds will not permit an effort is to be made to send him over in December to meet H. R. Peace, the Olympic champion. SANDERS CUP. NEXT CONTEST AT AKAROA. CHRISTCHURCH, September 25. At last night’s meeting of the Canterbury Sailing and Power Boat Association it was decided that the next Sanders Cup races will be sailed at Akaroa.
