FORBURY PARK TROTTING CLUB.

MEETING OF COMMITTEE. A meeting of the committee of the Forbury Park Trotting Club was held on Thursday evening, and was attended by Messrs B. S. Irwin (president). J; Bind: T. T. Ritchie. Jas. Mitchell, W. J. L Coughlan. R. Telfer, T. Fogg, John Mitchell. L. E. Barrett, A. Clark. The president extended a welcome to Mr Barrett, who was elected to the committee at the annual meeting, and expressed the opinion that fie would be a valuable acquisition to the committee. Mr Barrett briefly acknowledged the compliment. It was decided to invite applications for the position of handicapper in sue-

cession to the late Mr Brinkman at a fee of £25 per day, Mr T. Elliott was granted leave of absence for a month. Six resignations were received, and were accepted with regret. Nine neu members were elected. It wgs decided to instruct the Programme Committee to draw up a programme for the spring meeting, the stakes not co exceed £4600. The questions of catering, booth, aud band for the coming season w< ,v e referred to the Catering Committee for a report. The committee decided to recommend that licenses be granted to the following: Professional—-James M'Kewen (trainer, rider, and driver), Alex. Stone (trainer, rider, and driver), Nicholas Snvth (trainer, rider,, and driver) Frederick F. Huddleston (rider and driver), Overton Reed (rider and ’ri er) ; amateurs— Alfred E. Brown (trainer, rider, and driver), and L. Rigby (trainer'-. The following sub-committees wore appointed:—Finance—Messrs Black, Clark, Grccnslade, Jas. Mitchell, and Neill: grounds—Messrs Jas Mitchell, Black, Barrett, Fogg. John Mitchell, and Telfer: totalisator—Messrs Neill, Black, Clark, Fogg, and Barrett; catering— Messrs Barton, Coughlan, Jas. Mitchell, Neill. Barrett, and Telfer; programme— Messrs Greenslade, Barton, Coughlan, Clark, Fogg, and John Mitchell. The president and vice-president are members of the sub-committees ex officio. The following officials were appointed for the ensuing year:—Hon. treasurer, Mr Jas. Black: judge. Mr W. Rudkin; starter, Mr W. F. Dunne; assistant starter, Mr W. B. Freeman; starters’ assistants —Messrs H. E. Connor and B. L. Millier; clerk of scales, Mr J Seddon ; hon. time-keepers, Messrs J. Kel'e her and F. J. Townsend: hon. clerk of course, Mr F. G. Carter; hon. surgeons —Drs W. Evans, E. R. Harty, G. F. Fitzgerald. E. O’Neill, K. Ross, A. J. Hall, C. M. Greenslade: hon. veterinary surgeons—Messrs W. D. Snowball, J. Danskin, and P.
