ELECTION OF OFFICE-BEARERS. CHRISTCHURCH, August 22. The sixth annunal conference of the New Zealand Institute of Horticulture was held to-day. The following officers were elected:— President, Mr F. J. Nathan (Palmerston North) ; vice-presidents—Dr T. H. Easterfield (Nelson), Mr D. A. Hay (Auckland), Mr T. K. Sidey, M.P. (Dunedin), Mr P. Black (Manawatu), Mr W. D. Sherratt (Gisborne), Mr J. G. Mackenzie (Wellington), Mr C. E. Foweraker (Christchurch) ; executive— Professors G. S. Peren and H. B. Kirk, Dr E. Marsden, Messrs D. Wall, T. Q Brasch, A. H. Cockayne, J. A. Campbell, T. Waugh, H. Baillie, R. B. Hammond, W. R. B. Oliver, F. S. Pope, B. C. Aston, L. A. Jones, and Hope Gibbons; honorary fellows—Mr G. M. Thomson and Mr J. A. Campbell (New Zealand), Lord Lambourne (England), and Mr L. H. Bailey (United States).
