ST. JOHN AMBULANCE ASSOCIATION.
The Rev. G. E. Moreton presided over 1 the monthly meeting of the St. John Ambulance Association. ' The secretary reported that 439 visits had been paid by the district nurses dur-/— ing May, and that 104 trips had bees made by the amblances during the same period, over 600 miles being travelled by the machines. The work jjfsthe Hospital hostess had been carried"*on regularly, and special thanks were due to the Motor Circle of the Otago Women’s Club for its assistance.- The Sdw#>Guild had-provided a large number much-needed garments for patients, and very welcome donations of warm clothing had been received from the Hospital Guild. A letter received from the Dominion secretary advised that New Zealand would be visited in January next by a delegation from London headquarters, comprising Sir John Hewett, bailiff grand cross; Major Macßae, knight of justice, Lady Margaret Macßae, dame of justice; and Mrs Atkinson, dame of grace.
