In order to popularise the use of gas, •a North of England undertaking has constructed a _novel type of showroom on a motor chassis.' This vehicle is touring outlying rural districts, where demonstrations are given daily. The interior of the vehicle is large enough to accommodate a number of gas cookers, fires, water heaters, lamp fittings, standards and accessories. Water and gas are laid on from local sources, and visitors can inspect the various exhibits as they would in an ordinary shop. Demonstrators with the motor showroom call on local consumers and deal with all complaints and inquiries. Much new business has been done through this novel idea, and many gas companies are considering ths adoption of a similar plan.
