“The Government puts up any sort of bridges and we've got to look after them it is not a fair thing," declared Mr H. Goldsbury at the last meeting of the Waitotara County Council (reports the Wanganui Chronicle). “What’s the remedy? ” queried a member. Mr Goldsbury : “ Oh, put in a Government that will put up a decent bridge” . The appearance of the ornate University College buildings in Auckland has been likened to a wedding cake and other nice, things, and now there is an instance of it being mistaken for a post office (says the Star). “ Where do I post th( letters ? ” a man who sauntered into the building the Other day. A courteous student gave him the choice of at least two places in the city for the purpose.
