Mickey Mouse was going along looking for adventures when he found two kowhai fairies sitting crying by the road. “Whatever is the matter?” said Mickey Mouse.
So they showed him the way, and, sure enough, there was the bee. “ You just buzz off," said Mickey, “or I’ll beat you with this stick."
Mickey’Mouse'tan after him and gave him- a- good-beating, ‘ ■ which, of course; he deserved.
So the kowhai fairies told him that a horrid bumble bee had discovered their best pot of kowhal honey, and was eating it all up, and they were afraid to say anything. “ You show him to me,” said Mickey Mouse, “ arid I’ll settle him.”
So the bee got up and flew at Mickey and stung him on the cheek, but Mickey gave him some good hard whacks, and he flew away in a great hurry.
The kowhai fairies were so delighted that they tied, up. Mickey's head in a pocket handkerchief and gave him as much honey as he wanted to eat. When Mickey’s, sting was better, he went off looking for more adventures.
