There were some very good “effects” off stage at the Greymouth Opera House the other night, (states the Grey Star). The pianist was doing his best to produce the dramatic musical atmosphere suitable to the filmed action. The murder was just about to be committed, when the elements came to the aid of the pianist. The rattle of heavy rain on the roof, the vivid flashes of lightning which partlyilluminated the dark theatre, and the loud rumbling of thunder directly overhead, produced a most appropriate atmosphere. It was a nice night for a murder.
