About 1000 Maoris, members of the Arawa and Matatua tribfes. recently gathered at Maketu, Bay of Plenty, for the opening of two meeting houses. The houses are pimed Wharekane and Rangiuru, denoting husband and wife, ancestors of Tutanekai.
