Maoris are known to be keen supporters and critics of football (states the Wanganui Chronicle). During the Ra-tana-Old Boys’ match last Saturday a Ratana supportei informed his team that they would have ho oranges at half time unless they got the ball. Later the same spectator ’ was heard to remark disgustedly that the Maori boys ought to go back to baby food.
