BILLIARDS. M'CONACHY AND LINDRUM. SYDNEY, April 30. At the end of the night’s play, Lindrum was in play (score not sent) and M'Conachy was 550. Lindrum’s beet breaks were 114, 274. 171, and 98 (unfinished) . M'Conachy’s best was 136. The latter stated after the night’s play that he was troubled with the balls in the first session. hut in the second he made a better showing. He added that the Australian tables were also rather strange to him, but he would be accustomed to them later, when he hoped to give a much better exhibition. PROFESSIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP. Hampshire County beat the New Zealand bowlers by 150 to 76 at Bournemouth. Six rinks were played, Parker, of Auckland, was the only winning skip. He won narrowly by 17 to 16. THE DOMINION TOURING TEAM. LONDON, May 3. The New Zealand bowlers drew with Wiltshire, at Salisbury—l 26 each. Grant (Oarnaru), Hutchinson (Dunedin), and Sole (New Plymouth) were the winning skips. WIN AGAINST DORSETSHIRE. LONDON, May 4. A message from Weymouth states that the New Zealand bowlers beat Dorsetshire by 122 points to 117. Sole (New Plymouth), Doherty (Wellington), Grant (Oarnaru), and Packet (Auckland) were the winning skips. BILLIARDS. LONDON, May 4. Latest scores: Davis 14,668 (in play) Newman 14.241. CUN CLUB. Good sport was obtained at Alexandra when about 20 district shooters competed for the memorial cup presented by Mr D. Provan, Mr R. Web*d‘e.r >. of Moa Creek, being successful in gaining the cup. In the supplementary event, T. Clouston and Leo. Dundass shot the possible with five birds each, and divided the stakes. Rain fell at intervals during the afternoon. CRIBBAGE TOURNAMENT. V The last cribbage tournament arranged by the Commercial Travellers’ Club was won by Messrs E. Harraway, P. Stabb, and W. Ruffell. About 60 players took part, and a very enjoyable evening was spent. In presenting the prizes, Mr A Smelhe (vice-president) referred to the increasing popularity of these gatherings, and said that it was the intention to hold’ a cards’ tournament once a month. He congratulated the management on the success of the evening.
