A New- Plymouth resident, who left by the Aorangi recently, en route for England, had a singularly unfortunate experience in Auckland in the morning (says the Sun). To the office of a city hotel tho visitor preferred a £5O note in payment of her bill. As there was insufficient; change for this amount, she decided to pay it later in the day. On her return from a shopping expedition, however, she found that lhe note had inadvertently fallen from her hand-bag. and the traveller left Auckland minus that sum.
