Tho inconvenience caused to farmers through the Defence Department holding daylight parades of territorials during harvest time was mentioned at the recent rneeting of tho North Canterbury executive of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union (says the Press), when it was stated that farmers often had to lose the best part of a day in securing exemption for employees It was decided to bring tho matter under the notice of the authorities.
