ADOPTION OF RULES. (From Our Own Correspondent.) LONDON December 24. On (Monday evening a meeting of New Zealanders in London was held at the High Commissioner s office to take, further steps for the formation of what is to be called the New Zealand Association. A resolution was passed a fortnight ago that such an organisation should be formed for the purpose of arrangingMuncheons and other entertainments to do honour to distinguished people who contemplate visiting the Dominion, or to entertain, distinguished visitors from New Zealand. At the meeting this week the rules were adopted and office-bearers were elected. The following are some of the rules adopted:— The object of the association shall be to promote the interests of the Dominion of New Zealand, both socially and commercially, and in every other possible way. The officers of the association shall consist of a president, vice-presidents (not exceeding six in number), a chairman of committee, an honorary secretary, and an honorary treasurer; and they, together with 16 elective members, shall constitute the General Committee of the association. The said officers and committee shall be elected annually. There shall be an Executive Committee consisting of the chairman of committee (who shall also be chairman of the Executive . Committee), honorary secretary, honorary treasurer, and three other members of the General Committee elected by that committee. Members may introduce friends to the meetings of the association on conditions to be regulated from time to time by the General Committee. The subscription for membership is fl Is, payable on or before January 1 in each year. Sir James Parr was elected president. It was decided to invite the following to be vice-presidents:—Earl Jellicoe, Sir Thomas Mackenzie, Sir James Mills, Sir Thomas Parkinson, and the Hon. W. Pember Ree’'os. Mr Hal Williams was elected chairman of committee, Mr C. J. Wray hon. treasurer, and Mr L. E. L. Donne secretary. As a temporary expedient the members of the Annual Dinner Committee were elected members of this committee.
