Two bridegrooms in Napier are likely to remember their wedding days for many a long day by reason of the confusion resulting from little lapses of memory on their part (states the Telegraph). One neglected altogether to secure a license, and the fault was not discovered till th last minute, when all preparations were in hand to perform the actual ceremony. Frantic efforts were made to get over the difficulty to allow the ceremony to proceed. but all in vain, and the happy moment had to be postponed till Tuesday afternoon, after the procuring of a license on Tuesday morning. Another bridegroom secured his license, but posted it to the minister who was to perform the ceremony-. Owing to the dislocation o: the mail services through the holidays the precious paper was not delivered in time for the ceremony, and there was a tremendous hurry at the last minute to secure a copy of the certificate to permit of the transaction of the happy ceremony at the appointed time.
