To how many uses can aeroplanes ba put? Most, people think of them only as a quick means of transport for passengers and mails, or for use in wartime. Actually more than 150 different services ara rendeted by aeroplanes. _ They are used for pursuing and capturing law-breakers, discovering violators of the smoke nuisanca laws, and for photographing eclipses of the sun. River traffic, dredging works, and tides and currents are studied from flying machines, while they are also used in mining, agriculture, exploration, sport, architecture, fishing, forestry, and scientific research.
