O n the steps of the Christchurch City Council Chambers the other morning, a leader of the unemployed rallied his forces preparatory to an invasion of the offices (states the Sun). His remarks were on top gear, and there seemed to be fi danger that he would strain his vocal chords. A son of toil, wheeling his bicycle past die scene, stopped a moment, “ Garn! ” ; e called out. “From the noise you are making, one would think you were talking to men listening to you in O-imaru 1 ” The retort of the orator was pungent.
