A DAUGHTER’S CLAIM.
CHRISTCHURCH, October 27. Annie Bella Tutty, of Knapdale, near Gore, wife of Richard Tutty, farmer, made a claim in the Supreme Court to-daj(, before Mr Justice Adams, under the Family Protection Act, 1908, for further provision out of the estate of her late father, Robert Kerr, of Ashburton, flour miller. The defendant was William Hocken Rundle, of Ashburton, land broker, trustee under the will. The estate was valued at about £5OOO. Mr E. C. Smith (Gore) appeared lor the plaintiff, and Mr E. W. White for the defendant. Mr Smith said it was suggested that Mrs Tutty should receive £5OO spread over a number of years. She had a large family. His Honor said that the testator should have considered Mrs Tutty’s position, but she was not entitled to as much as Mr Smith suggested. An order would be made in her favour for £1 a week for six years to be paid out of the estate.
