“lit 25 years’ experience -with fire insurance companies I have never known one instance where a company has been guiltv of a dishonourable transaction.” This was the tribute paid by Mr F. H. Pope, when addressing the Auckland Chamber of Commerce last Thursday on insurance matters (states the New Zealc'i‘l Verald). He added: “They are aiiije-.- ready to give the insured the benefit of the doubt. There is probably no class of business organisation that has been more maligned, but if I were to offer any criticism, it would be that they arc too ready with their cheque books.’’
