ANNUAL CONFERENCE. NAPIER, August 2G. The annual conference of tho Nortn Island Alotor Union was commenced in Napier this morning. A large attendance of delegates was presided over by Air A. J. Toogood (Wellington : — The following remits were passed:— That all local bodies b- asked to remove the standard silent policemen and substitute an Bin white line running from tho intersection 14ft down the centre of side streets.
