Apparently there is a danger of Wanganui Rugby becoming as much a religion as it has in Hawke’s Ray and interest in the affairs of the code locally has this season shown a remarkable increase (says the Chronicle). “If business interferes with Rugby,” quoth an enthusiast recently, “give up business I” The medical superintendent of the Christchurch Hospital having called attention to the cause of overcrowding in the hospital, it has been decided to ask the medical profession to discriminate between iH”’or ailments and those of an acute nature requiring skilled nursing and medical attention.
