RUMANIAN THRONE
A SECRET CONSULTATION. CLAIM OF PRINCE CAROL. PARIS. July 26. Prince Carol received a Rumanian delegation, headed bv Professor Jorga, Leader of the National Party, who recently refused to sign an agreement with the Prime Minister over the subject of the Regency. The visitors remained for several hours. Special precautions were taken to pevent the object of the consultation being disclosed to the newspapers. Intransigeant states that Prince Carol has not abandoned his claim to the throne, and is deeply chagrined because he is not allowed to return to Rumania. He is also angry with the newspapers for representing him as living a life of dissipation. CLAIMS OF PRINCE CAROL. DEPUTATION FROM BUCHAREST. LONDON, July 27. The Paris correspondent of the Daily Mail, states that the deputation from Bucharest urged Prince Carol formally to claim the throne, even if he considered it unwise to return immediately to Rumania. It is stated that Prince Carol has not made a definite promise. KING FERDINAND'S ESTATE. BUCHAREST, July 29. King Ferdinand's fortune was £375,000. Prince Carol’s share is £20,000 and securities. Parliament provides a pension for the Queen.
