In a letter recently received in Napier au ex-Indian civil servant,’ now residing in London, writes:—“l went to a jolly show at the Guildhall, where the Church Army ran a dinner to 1500 poor children with an entertainment after?r-all paid-for by children, in New Zealand. The Lord Mayor, in all his glory, came and addressed them. I wish some of the. New Zealand children, could have been there.’’
