From all parts of the district (remarks the Timaru Herald) reports are being received of good yields of wheat, though it should also be said that there are some very poor yields. On tho whole, however, tho out-turn is phenomenal, and this is surprising, because there were excellent yields last year, and it is seldom that a high return is obtained two years in succession. The .reports to hand show that the different varieties have yielded as follows: —Sensation, 40 to 61 bushels per acre; Tuscan, 18 to 65; Marshall’s White,35 to 50; Hunters, 28 to 47; Pearl, 30 W 45; Palavera, 40 to 47.-
