Matters have just about reached a crisis in certain areas of 'A’ellington where leakage from power lines during the past week threatened to ruin broadcast nrograinmes (remarks the Dominion). On a recent night this form of interference was most. persistent, and listeners were inflicted .with either a continuous roar or intermittent frying and squeaking sounds. An experienced radio mechanician, who heard it, expressed the opinion that if this sori of interference is to go . on. it is a case of good-bye to listening-in in Wellington.
