Once more a team of horses may draw the Cobb and Company coach through the streets of Christchurch (states the Lyttelton Times). Mr H. G. Ell is keen that the Duke, and Duchess should see the oldtime vehicle, the only one on the roads of New Zealand. He is seeking a team to put into harness, and hopes to have arrangements completed before their Royal Highnesses arrive in Christchurch. “I want the Duke to see the coach,” said Mr Ell on Saturday. “In fact, there may ba a chance of his wanting to have a ride in it. The coach may take a trip up as far as the Sign of the Takahe, but, though it is hoped to keep the vehicle running after the Duke has gone, it will not be used, on any portion of the Summite road. It wouldn't pay.”
