STOCK FOR BURNSIDE.

INVERCARGILL, February 15. A somewhat unusual sight at the Wallacetown yards wag witnessed this "morning, when a team of well-known Southland stock buyers spent a couple of hours loading bulls for despatch to the-north. These bulls, of which there were over 50 in the mob, were bought in Southland by Messrs Ladbrook and Russel] who, in turn, sold them to Mr Townley. Mr Townley is sending them on to the Burnside freezing works. Evidently there is a demand for these animals up north, as Mr Townley has orders to purchase another 1000 head for Burnside, ‘ In the consignment which left this mornipg which, by the way. is the largest despatched from Wallacetown since the days' of the war, all breeds and grades were represented. Some worthy pedigree sires shared quarters-with the despised scrubs.
