BURGLARIES AT WAIMATE.

TWO CHURCHES ENTERED. WAIMATE, February 16. Four burglaries occurred during the present week. Knox Church was entered on Sunday night by forcing the door, and property valued at £2O was taken. There was no money in the building. The Methodist Church was entered the same night through an unfastened window, but again disappointment awaited the thieves as far as money was concerned, and there were no movable articles of value. During Tuesday night the bowling pavilion was entered through an unfastened window, and the lawn tennis pavilion through an unfastened door. Crockery, table cloths, and other article’s of a total value of £l2 were taken.
