A large meeting of motor cyclists, at which some 503 attended, passed a resolution at, Wellington on Thursday strongly protesting against interference with pillion riding. The speakers, in effect, said the agitation had arisen from remarks by. magistrates who did not know what they were talking about. The facts had never been examined by those who objected to the practice. Other resolutions were passed maintaining that pillion riding was safe, and actually gave greater control over the machine; that it could not he shown it was dangerous; and that it was cheap and healthy, but that not more than one passenger should be allowed.
