Owing to a brown beetle having entered his ear a son of Mr F. Telfer, a farmer at Rukuwai, was admitted to the Whangarei Hospital suffering great pain. An anaesthetic was administered, and the beetle, which measured about three-quarters of an inch in length, was removed.
