TOWN-PLANNING ACT.
CONSTITUTION OF BOARD. ) WELLINGTON, February 1. By the Town-planning Act now in operation the board shall consist of the Minister of Internal Affairs (chairman), the director of town-planning (Mr Hammond), one representative each of tha New Zealand Society of Engineers, the Institute of Architects, the_". Institute of Surveyors, two representatives of the Municipal Association, one representative of the Counties’ Association, the Surveyor* general, the engineer-in-chief of the Publid Works Department, the Government architect, and two persons appointed on th» recommendation of the Minister of Internal Affairs. To-day the Hon. R. F. Bollard announced the following appointments:—Messrs W. E. x Bush (Auckland), W. M. Page (Wellington), A. H. Boyle (Wanganui), F. J. Nathan (Palmerston North), C. J. B.Norwood (Wellington), S. Blackley (Heretaunga), Dr C. E. Hercus (Dunedin), and G. P. Newton (Wellington). The members of the board, other than those who are members by virtue of their office, hold their appointments on the board for three years. A meeting of the board will be called for February 15.
