RUGBY VICTORY FOR THE MAORIS. VANCOUVER, February 2. The Maoris defeated the University of British Columbia by 12 points to 3. * THE MAORI TEAM IN CANADA. VANCOUVER, February 3. Four thousand spectators saw the Maoris pile up 12 points to University’s three. The contest was clean, fast, and frequently brilliant. The University held the New Zealanders for 11 minutes' when the first try was registered. Before the end of the half two more unconverted tries were added. In the second half each side scored a try. The visitors declare that University’s tackling was equal to any they had encountered. It earned University five men in the AU-Britisli Columbia team match next Saturday. For the Maoris, Gemmell.
