CHAMPION CYCLISTS.

O’SHEA BEATS SPEARS. CHRISTCHURCH. February 6. At Monica Park last night Phil O’Shea beat R. Spears, world’s champion cyclist., in a series of three match races. O’Shea won the first two races, so that the third race was not necessary. Spears admitted, that he could not ride on the unbanked gross track of Monica Park, and challenged O’Shea to race him on any banked track in the Dominion. A match will take place at English Park oh Wednesday.
