OLD CHARGE REVIVED.

ARRESTED AFTER FIVE YEARS. NEW PLYMOUTH, September 8. After the lapse of five years since tha alleged commission of an offence, and the issue of a warrant, an old man named Janies Ross appeared at the court to-dar on a charge of breaking, entering and stealing iron and tools from a blacksmith s shop at Awakino, to the value of £9 10s. The recused could not be located by the police uiitil arrested at Kawhia last month. Accused reserved his defence and was committed to the Supreme Court for trial.
