WELLINGTON. September 10. Mr E. P. Norman, of Melbourne, has been appointed town clerk of Wellington Mr E. P. Norman is assistant engineer to the Melbourne Harbour Trust, and has had a lengthy connection with civil engineering At the Sydney University no graduated as Bachelor of Engineering with first-class honours, taking the mechanical, electrical, and civil engineering courses. He also gained the B.Sc. in chemistry, physics and mathematics. He has been an associate member of tho institute of Engineers since its inception and also an associate member of the Institute of Civil Engineers. He has had experience of railways and tramways, and was on the Queensland Harbour and Rivers Department engaged in design work in steel, concrete, etc. He served on Gallipoli and France, and aince 1921 has been assitsant engineer to the Melbourne Harbour Trust.
